About us
Howmigo started with a drained car battery on a gravel road outside Härryda, Sweden.
Our founder, Anton Allédeus, had jumper cables in the boot and a phone with barely any signal. What he did not have was a clear answer. The search results were long videos, introductions and distractions when all he wanted was a simple sequence showing which clamp went where and what came next.
That experience became the idea behind Howmigo: practical problems should be easier to solve with short, numbered instructions and a clear illustration for each step.
## What we aim to do
Howmigo is built around instructions that respect your time. We focus on the step you are on, what you should be looking for and what comes next, without unnecessary filler.
Our library covers practical subjects such as car maintenance, home repairs, appliances and everyday fixes, and it continues to grow. Guides are written in plain language, translated into multiple languages and improved through reader feedback.
Some parts of our workflow use artificial intelligence, including the generation of guide illustrations and assistance with drafting or translation. Published instructional content is reviewed before publication, and AI-generated step images are identified as such.
## Who operates Howmigo
Howmigo is operated by NonDucor AB, a Swedish limited company based in Härryda, Sweden.

The name NonDucor comes from the Latin phrase *non ducor, duco* — "I am not led, I lead." It fits a service made for people who would rather understand a task and do it themselves when it is safe and appropriate to do so.
## How Howmigo is funded
Howmigo is free to read. To support the service, we may earn revenue from advertising and affiliate links. Some links to tools, materials or shops may therefore earn Howmigo a commission if a visitor makes a qualifying purchase or takes another qualifying action. This does not increase the price solely because the link is an affiliate link.
Commercial relationships do not determine the instructional steps in a guide. Our aim is to explain what the task requires, and commercial links are identified or explained where applicable.
